Timeless jazz lines.
The timeless offset silhouette that inspired the design of the JB100 needs no introduction: the characteristic double cutaway for excellent access to the last frets, combined with two single pickups and a 4-bridge bridge/tailpiece block, represent a highly recognized visual signature. This classic configuration has been adopted by Italian manufacturer Eko to make the JB100 an attractive electric bass, ergonomic with its contained weight and welcoming curves, and above all highly versatile for novice bassists.
Quality lutherie.
Despite its very affordable price, the JB100’s construction has benefited from the utmost attention to detail in order to offer bassists new to the instrument an attractive, well-finished bass. The body, crafted from poplar for strength, is highlighted by a gloss varnish. The sturdy, comfortable 4-point screwed maple neck is topped by a laurel fingerboard that adds stability and warmth.
A versatile configuration.
As for the electronics, the JB100 is equipped with 2 J-type single-coil pickups with their familiar configuration, much appreciated for their snap, midrange and versatility. Great for warm, clear sounds, they can also be very biting and percussive when combined with powerful distortion. To extend the sonic possibilities, a volume control for each pickup and a general tone control enable you to mix the characters of the different pickups and adjust their more or less brilliant timbre. The bridge/tailpiece block incorporates independently adjustable saddles to fine-tune the action and harmonics of each string and ensure effective sustain.
Affordable, versatile and aesthetically pleasing with its timeless silhouette and high-gloss finish, the JB100 is the ideal instrument for a fun start on electric bass, without breaking the bank.
