Despite its very affordable price, the PB400’s lutherie has received the utmost attention in order to offer bassists new to the instrument an attractive, well-finished bass. The body is made from paulownia, a light, robust and resonant wood providing comfort and beautiful vibrations. The sturdy, comfortable 4-point screwed maple neck is topped with a laurel fingerboard, bringing stability and warmth.
A versatile configuration.
As for the electronics, the PB400 is equipped with a single-coil P-type pickup, highly appreciated for its versatility and precision. Great for clear sounds, it can also be very biting and percussive when combined with powerful distortion. To extend the range of sound possibilities, a general tone control allows you to adjust the timbre for greater or lesser brilliance. The bridge/tailpiece block incorporates independently adjustable saddles to fine-tune the action and harmonics of each string and ensure effective sustain.
