"Happy Birthday to You" is probably the best-known birthday tune and you can let it play when you turn the little crank on this music box. The original American version was written about 130 years ago by the sisters Patty and Mildred Hill as a welcome song for their kindergarten. Today, the birthday song is sung on all continents in the original or in one of the countless translations.
If you place the little mechanism, with or without its lovingly designed box, on a large resonating body (such as a table, box or similar), their birthday melody will sound even stronger and fuller. Since the mechanism is mounted on a small wooden board, it then unfolds its sound particularly well.
