This small effect whistle looks tiny, but the trill with which you can imitate the native blue tit is powerful. The typical song of the blue tit is varied. It usually begins with a high-pitched "tzii-tzii" and ends with a pretty, somewhat deeper trill. The blue tit can also sing various warning calls and clamouring strophes when it is very excited or feels threatened.
The little bird got its name from its distinctive appearance. The head as well as the wing and tail feathers are blue and contrast strikingly with the yellow breast. The blue tit is not yet threatened and feels at home in almost all of Europe.
