With our slotted shaker you can create versatile rattling rhythms. The small glass beads with which the rattle is filled produce a loud, balanced sound that can be easily modulated with different shaking techniques. And the slots allow you to play both open and closed. All you have to do is open or close your hands while shaking and you can enjoy the powerful sound spectrum.
Our slotted shaker is particularly sustainable because it is made from the wood of the jackfruit tree, which is not grown in monocultures. This is because the jackfruit tree grows in mixed cultures with different types of fruit and is primarily cultivated for its huge fruits and seeds.
As the jackfruit wood sounds wonderfully clear and loud, it is perfect for our slotted wood shaker. The golden-brown shimmering wood has been treated only with care oil, which protects it and makes it more durable. Even though jackfruit wood is quite weather-resistant, we recommend that you protect the shaker from moisture and maintain it with a splash of oil – e.g. olive oil – from time to time.
