The nipple gong has a long tradition in Southeast Asian music. It is played at religious and secular festivals from Myanmar, Thailand and the Philippines to Indonesia and is a central element of the respective music ensembles. Nipple gongs are struck individually or in rows of gongs. While the smaller gongs sound high and clear, the large gongs resonate for a long time with a deep, full sound and shine with their multi-faceted overtones.
Free-swinging and struck in the centre, the DAN MOI nipple gong develops its powerful, beautiful sound. It is ideal for music therapy, meditation or yoga sessions.
The nipple gongs from DAN MOI are handmade in northern Vietnam and come with a mallet.
