Bansuri, the North Indian bamboo transverse flute, plays a central role in classical Indian music. Its sound is deemed to be an expression of divine love and unity.

Partha Sarkar is one of the best Indian bansuri makers and players. His teacher Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia is considered the world‘s best bansuri player. Partha Sarkar's master flutes meet all professional requirements. Higher quality bansuris will be hard to find in Europe.

The lower tunings require more playing experience but also offer a greater range. The range covers 2 – 2.5 octaves, semitones are played through half-closed finger-holes.

Their length varies between 40 and 90 cm, depending on pitch. The flutes ship in a velvet bag which color may vary. Alos, the color and number of the bindings may vary.

The Bansuris are available in European standard tuning A=440Hz and in the Indian classical standard keynote A=432Hz.
