The sound of the emptiness – the Shakuhachi is a traditional Japanese bamboo flute that has its origins in Zen Buddhist meditation practice. It is also becoming more and more popular in modern music. The sound of this instrument ranges from soft and breathy to bright metallic, lending the players considerable room for improvisation.
Our flutes have been made by one of the leading Shakuhachi-makers in Germany. The bamboo was harvested in Europe and has been stored for several years – this makes it very resitant to cracking in comparison to Asian imports. In addition, we can offer you an 1-year repair warranty.
