Our large brass Sakya singing bowls with their satin-finished bronze have a pretty long sustaining sound. They respond smoothly to stiking and rubbing and their harmonics (overtones) are pulsing sweetly through the sound space. Therefore the Sakya singing bowl suits perfectly in meditation and sound therapy environments.
Which mallet fits best?
Actually, you can make any singing bowl sound with any of our mallets. However, it is recommended to choose the mallets according to the size of the singing bowl. In the overview in the article description above you will find our recommendations. The recommended mallets usually work fine with the next-smaller and next-bigger singing bowl as well.
Singing Bowl Sizes:
Since all singing bowls are hand-wrought, the following sizes and weights are just approximations:
- 2000 g (Ø 25 cm, height 11 cm)
- 2500 g (Ø 28 cm, height 12 cm)
- 3000 g (Ø 30 cm, height 13 cm)
- 3500 g (Ø 32 cm, height 15 cm)
With the singing bowl cushion, you can put your singing bowl centre stage – both acoustically and visually. Thanks to the firm filling, your singing bowl is stable yet airy on the square cushion. This allows it to vibrate for a particularly long time and its sound, which is rich in overtones, can unfold impressively.
The cushion is not only practical for striking, but also decorative. The square singing bowl cushion is decorated with four tassels and its shimmering fabric shines with gold and silver-coloured floral motifs. When you are not using your singing bowl, you can store it nicely on the cushion.
If the singing bowl cushion gets dirty, it can be cleaned by hand.
You can choose from the two colours and five sizes depending on your personal preference and the diameter of your singing bowl. We suggest the following sizes:

Singing bowl Ø approx. 12-20 cm: Small (18×18 cm)
